Mark Henrichs has spent more than 30 years in industrial research in the photographic, pharmaceutical and medical device industries. He holds an undergraduate degree in chemistry from Rice University and a PhD in chemistry from UCLA. His career accomplishments include multiple peer-reviewed scientific publications, industrial patents and experience with start-up companies. Most recently he was the Director of Technology Development at Fairway Medical Technology. While at Fairway he co-founded the Gulf Coast Medical Device Manufacturers, a community of local design, engineering and manufacturing companies working together to share opportunities and keep business related to medical devices in the region. Since retiring from Fairway in 2008, he has concentrated on the growth and development of the GCMDM.
Jeff Applegate is a graduate of Baylor University with dual majors in Entrepreneurial Management and Finance. Jeff served 13 years with LSI industries where he progressed from sales positions to leading the Technology Graphics division specializing in precision printing and diecutting of plastic films to support the computer, telecommunication and industrial OEM’s. During his tenure LSI became an industry leader in decorating molded plastic components. Jeff joined Blackwell Plastics in 2003 to develop and execute the strategic direction for sales and operations of Blackwell Plastics. Jeff Applegate is currently the President of the South Texas section of the Society of Plastics Engineers. Jeff is the co-founder and Director of the Gulf Coast Medical Device Manufacturers and serves on the boards of the Houston Rotary and the University of Houston College of Industrial Engineering.
